This subject contains a 2 day Optional Residential School.
The residential school will review distance learning, and explore current issues and cases.
Students examine perspectives on, and critiques of, corporate culture. They explore notions of the diagnosis and changing of culture. Emphasis is given to the role of information technology and online communication in organisational change, work, ethics, power and bureaucracy. Globalisation and integrated communication are examined as contiguous trends driving the future of organisational communication. Students complete this subject with an independent secondary research project which includes an analysis of one of the key topic areas. Students going on to complete the MA by dissertation develop their dissertation proposal in place of the final independent research assignment.
