In many contemporary societies, digital technologies have been integrated into daily life. They add an immediacy to knowledge gathering and participation in networked and mobile communities. Yet there are challenges in engaging with and utilising those same technologies for learning, teaching and training purposes. This subject provides students with opportunities to develop informed, critical use of digital technologies to develop innovative teaching and assessment focused on evidencing student/client learning outcomes. The subject provides frameworks that assist learning designers in the appropriate selection and use of various open, online and distance education (OODE) pedagogies and digital technologies.
