Quality training and assessment requires practitioners to have a thorough understanding of the Australian Vocational Education system. This subject critically examines the theoretical, regulatory, and practical factors that influence training. Needs assessment, learning and assessment design, evaluation of training, and a range of other current issues are addressed at a critical level. This subject assumes background knowledge of content covered in the TAE Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and experience working within the context of Australian Qualifications Framework Training Packages.
