This subject builds on the concepts involved in estate planning that are explained in subject FIN560, placing particular attention to the application of various law, processes and principles which are involved in dealing with a client's needs for wealth preservation and transfer. Financial and estate planning operations are explained within a broader professional occupation of estates practice.
The subject introduces students to the tasks associated with the identification of wealth preservation and transfer needs of clients as well as the development of estate administration plans, and prepares students for a professional career in estate planning and administration.
