Students are introduced to evaluation, in its broadest sense, as a function of management. They will explore various approaches to performance improvement in health service organisations, eg. process evaluation, outcome evaluation, quality management, action research, and health service research. Students explore contextual issues that impact on service evaluation, drawing on their knowledge of organisations and management practice.
