Candidates enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy are required to prepare a research proposal, conduct approved research under supervision and present the results of their research for examination in an academically conventional form. Students will apply a substantial body of knowledge, at the frontier of a field of work or learning, to research, investigate and develop new knowledge, in one or more fields of investigation, scholarship or professional practice. The topic of the thesis will be worked out in consultation with an approved supervisor, and shall be no more than 100,000 words in length.
