This subject contains a 25 days Compulsory Workplace Learning component.
Students will be required to travel to workplace learning sites for a period of 5 weeks and will be responsible for their accommodation and transportation costs.
Students undertaking this 5 week placement "Fundamentals of Physiotherapy Clinical Practice" will be expected to have a substantive level of knowledge and practical skills in cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric physiotherapy practice. Workplace learning in this subject will provide students with the opportunity to develop sound clinical reasoning processes, apply and critically appraise knowledge obtained in the workplace setting, develop skills in self-appraisal of their professional practice and develop professional practice awareness and responsibilities. Skills developed in PHS307 will be foundational and pre-requisite to workplace learning undertaken, and assessed in PHS401.
