This subject delivers the foundational operational safety and tactics skills required by the operational police practitioner. It introduces students to the ethical and professional application of basic self-defence, operational communications and tactical options.
This is achieved by requiring students to consider the theory and practice underpinning the use of these skills and to demonstrate the application of those skills and outline the justification for their use within supervised practical sessions.
