Issues and questions which arise from the candidate's professional practice in social work provide the basis of the research project. From these an extended research proposal is developed by the candidate in a collaborative learning environment. The proposal is defended by presentation to the faculty of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and professional practitioners in the candidate's proposed area of research. Candidates also complete a research proposal form and address processes and procedures for preparing an ethics application (if required) for submission to the University.
