The student will engage with contemporary critical views of biblical interpretation, and undertake a thorough exegetical and hermeneutical exploration of a specific biblical passage. The student will translate the selected passage and examine a range of critical issues (text-critical issues, literary and historical context, literary structure, relevant critical approach(es), e.g., form, narrative, sociological, ideological, etc., as appropriate to the chosen passage, together with engagement with select hermeneutical questions raised by the passage.
