Production Animal Medicine 2 will be presented in a Problem Based Learning (PBL) format over four weeks based around case packages. It will present cases related to intensively housed production animals and farm livestock, particularly illustrating the management of disease and conditions in the intensive population. This subject addresses in particular the integration of pre- and para-clinical principles in order to diagnose and treat disease in intensively produced animals.
This subject will assist students to develop skills in researching and applying best-evidence to result in life-long learning.
