It is recommended that VSC501 is completed at the same time or prior to enrolling in VSC502.
The student will be required to investigate / analyse two problems they have identified within farming systems (either on an individual farm basis, or on a group of farms, or at industry level). For each of the two 'problems' selected, the student will:
- Defining the problem;
- Providing alternate solutions in the context of the whole farm;
- Making recommendations to the producer(s)/industry on the problem;
- Produce a written report covering these areas.
It must be noted that students who undertake any combination of VSC502, VSC503 and VSC504 must address clearly differentiated problems in each subject in order to obtain a passing grade.
