A completed High School Certificate with an ATAR of 65 (including adjustment factors) or equivalent.
OR
Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
OR
A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification.
OR
50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification.
OR
A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

NOTE
Successful applicants who do not have an appropriate high school background in chemistry or mathematics are strongly recommended to undertake Introductory Chemistry (SSS010) or Foundation Mathematics (SSS018) in the University's Study Link program prior to commencing study in the course.
This course contains workplace learning components requiring access to winery or basic winemaking and analysis equipment for the production of a wine (WSC201) and a four-week placement in a commercial vineyard, winery or wine business (AHT274).
The Bachelor and Associate Degree [Exit Point Only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.
The course includes 23 compulsory subjects, totalling 184 points, and 1 restricted elective (8 points).

This subject can be any subject offered by the School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences. Other subjects can also be chosen upon approval by the Course Director. The Course Director will approve subjects that strengthen the body of knowledge and skill set developed in the B Wine Business. Subjects with content similar to, or equivalent to compulsory subjects taught in the course will not be acceptable. Similarly, students must verify that all pre-requisites or assumed knowledge are satisfied before undertaking an elective subject.

Students will chose between CHM108 and CHM115 on the basis of their availability to attend the residential school for the subject. CHM108 is a broader Chemistry subject but the residential school is earlier than that of CHM115, whose residential school is designed to avoid vintage. However, for students likely to consider transferring to the Bachelor of Viticulture or the Bachelor of Wine Science, CHM115 is the preferred subject as CHM108 is not equivalent to CHM115 and could therefore not be credited.
