Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Commerce on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to a number of Masters programs offered by the Faculty of Business and receive credit for applicable subjects.


CSU Credit Policy

No special arrangements apply.

Graduation Requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.

Course Structure

The Graduate Certificate in Commerce consists of four subjects (32 points) with the following requirements to be met:

  1. all subjects must be selected from the range of restricted elective subjects offered by the Faculty of Business, Justice & Behavioural Sciences at Level 4 or Level 5 or equivalent;
  2. students may not enrol in any subject which is substantially similar to a subject already completed; and
  3. students shall meet all prerequisite requirements.

Credit in the Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The Graduate Certificate in Commerce is also a pathway into the MBA for students without an undergraduate degree. Students may receive credit for up to four subjects into the MBA upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate.
