Course duration is the effective time taken to complete a course when studied full-time (full-time equivalent duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern to determine length of study. Not all courses are offered in full-time mode.

Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Master of Ministry

Candidates for admission to the Master of Ministry shall:

  1. have an undergraduate degree in Theology from a recognised Australian university or equivalent; or hold the Graduate Diploma of Theology with a Credit average or higher;
    and
  2. have at least two years full-time professional experience in ministry.
Graduate Certificate in Ministry

Candidates for admission to the Master of Ministry shall:

  1.    have an undergraduate degree in Theology from a recognised Australian university or equivalent; or hold the Graduate Diploma of Theology with a Credit average or higher;   and
  2.    have at least two years full-time professional experience in ministry.

Master of Ministry

16 points of Transfer Credit towards General Electives may be granted for the completion of either:

  1. an Advanced Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (MIN41C); or
  2. the Graduate Certificate in Supervision (MIN42C) (St Mark's RTO, Canberra)
Graduate Diploma of Ministry [Exit Point Only]

Depending on the structure of the degree chosen, 16 points of Transfer Credit towards General Electives may be granted for the completion of either:

  1.  an Advanced Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (MIN41C); or

Articulation

The Master, Graduate Diploma [Exit Point Only] and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.

The degree consists of 96 points comprising two core subjects (32 points), restricted electives (32 points) and additional ministry electives (32 points). Subjects have a value of 8 points unless otherwise stated.
