Students must have completed a 3 year undergraduate degree in paramedicine. Admission in this course can be directly at the Master level or follow from the completion of the Graduate Diploma of Paramedicine (with specialisations).
Students must have completed a 3 year undergraduate degree in paramedicine. Applicants with extensive industry experience and practicing as intensive care paramedics will also be eligible to enter the course. Admission in this course can be directly at the Graduate Diploma level or follow from the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Paramedicine (with specialisations).
Students must have completed a 3 year undergraduate degree in paramedicine. Applicants with extensive industry experience and practicing as intensive care paramedics will also be eligible to enter the course.
Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma of Paramedicine (with specialisations) will be eligible for 64 points of credit.
Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Paramedicine (with specialisations) will be eligible for 32 points of credit.
No special arrangements apply
The Master, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.
GRADUATE CERTIFICATE:
Students complete two core subjects:
" APS402 Foundations of Advanced Paramedic Practice
" APS403 Populations with Special Needs
And decide on one area of specialisation (below) and choose two subjects from that area specialisation.
CRITICAL CARE SPECIALISATION choice of 2 subjects
" APS501 Advanced Cardiac Care
" APS502 Advanced Respiratory Care
" APS503 Advanced Medical Care
" APS504 Advanced Trauma Care
EXTENDED CARE SPECIALISATION choice of 2 subjects
" APS506 Principles of Extended Care
" APS507 Systematic Extended Care
" APS508 Extended Care Clinical Management
" One subject from the Restricted Elective Pool (see below)
GRADUATE DIPLOMA:
Students must complete the requirements for the Graduate Certificate (above) and then complete:
Session 30: APS509 Extended Care Skills (extended care stream) or APS505 Critical Care Skills (critical care stream)
Session 60: APS404 Advanced Care Practicum
And the remaining subjects not completed from their area of specialisation.
MASTERS LEVEL:
Students must complete the requirements for a specialisation in the Graduate Diploma of Paramedicine (above) and then complete:

" HLT508 Health Masters Project (16 points) or two subjects from the Restricted Elective Pool (see below)
