Students are responsible for all finances and other resources associated with their research
After learning about the preparation for research in BMS508 (Research Proposal) or in an equivalent subject, a student carries out the research. This subject is an original independent research in biomedical science involving critical evaluation of existing data and/or collection, analysis and interpretation of new data. The student also learns the preparation of a manuscript based on the research, for publication in a journal. Thus, at the completion of this subject, a student will have carried out an independent research and written a manuscript for a journal. Students in this subject are expected to produce work at a standard worthy of publication in a peer reviewed journal. This subject requires background in basic research statistics and research methodology.
