Students will examine the technical, social and communicative dimensions of managing a project in a communication, media or related discipline area.

Assumed Knowledge

It is assumed students are toward the end of their course and are planning capstone projects. Assumed knowledge includes the fundamentals of event and project planning equivalent to that in COM126 Production Planning.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles of project planning, production and evaluation;
  • be able to show capability in undertaking independent research and monitoring to direct a project;
  • be able to execute the key components of managing a project and related documentation; and
  • be able to develop and execute a comprehensive project plan.
