This subject will critically evaluate law, ethics and human rights and their relationship in and to case management. Particular emphasis will be given to understanding the concept of advocacy and the ways in which graduates might positively influence legal and formal processes and outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Students will be able to apply a decision-making framework that incorporates ethics, legal considerations, human rights and risk management in the context of operational management and budgetary responsibility.
