This subject is about conducting business in the digital environment. The origins, growth and technical operation of the Internet are examined with respect to business practices, strategies and performance. This subject introduces the use of computerised information systems specifically in the area of eCommerce. These systems are useful business tools which enable an organisation to record, summarise and report events arising from interactions with its environment including customers and suppliers. In addition, this subject examines the legal, ethical, security, social and global implications of eCommerce. No prior knowledge of computers is required to successfully complete this subject.
