The subject focuses on developing an appreciation and understanding of project management in the contemporary business environment. Project management has traditionally been very technically driven, and the subject complements this important aspect of project management with both strategic project selection and implementation, as well as sociocultural aspects (people, culture and communication) for successful project outcomes. The application of project management software, as part of the subject and assessment process, provides students with the opportunity to learn how project management is applicable in the workplace.
