This subject extends the student's skills in podiatric clinical practice and enables consolidatation of skills in communication, assessment and management. Students will be given the opportunity to develop their professional practice through the completion of both internal and external workplace learning experiences. Their perspectives of ethical, sustainable and evidence based approaches to clinical activities will be developed in the context of diagnostic investigations. Students will gain skills in the interpretation of a range of diagnostic images and test results, in order to inform case management of lower limb pathology. A range of laboratory and physical assessment techniques including vascular and neurological assessments are also considered, with a focus on 'point of care' testing.
