This subject requires students to analytically discuss important stages in policy making processes and the roles organisations and institutions play in them. Drawing on relevant knowledge and skills, it has a particular focus on the process of formulating policy issues, placing them on the agenda of policy makers and analysing contemporary policies. Further, it helps students to critically reflect on changes and challenges in the field of social policy.
