EEL409 introduces participants to professional development planning and to key issues and challenges in teaching and learning in higher education. The subject helps participants to address the requirements of academic probation at CSU and for becoming a Higher Education Academy (HEA) Associate Fellow. Participants prepare a Professional Development Plan (PDP) that helps them identify their teaching strengths and development needs and to choose a module related to HEA 3: Assess & give feedback to learners. Participants complete authentic assessments related to their teaching practice and develop a reflective narrative on their learning and achievement with respect to the subject learning outcomes.
Taken in combination with EEL416, participants will achieve the requirements for EEL516 and be able to continue with the GCLTHE.
