It introduces metalanguage as well as key concepts and constructs of second language testing and assessment. It also explores the main theoretical perspectives and their implications for language testing and assessment practices.

  • be able to assess existing language testing or assessment schemes; and
  • be able to design, administer, and evaluate second language testing and assessment schemes.
