This subject introduces the concepts involved in personal financial planning, placing particular attention to the various processes and principles which are involved. It provides an overview of the laws and regulations relating to the financial planning industry, the forms of government assistance to individuals, the choice of investments available, and the role of insurance and superannuation. The subject will introduce students to the tasks associated with the development of financial plans and develop their ability to construct financial plans through the study materials, case studies and practical workshops.
