This subject analyses the principles, dimensions and qualities of contemporary executive leadership in the context of policing, law enforcement, emergency service and security organisations. There will be particular emphasis on the challenges and dynamics of strategic leadership in the public sector. It explores the dynamics of operational demands from the leadership perspective and examines the impact of political and social influences.
