This subject focuses on equipping students with tools that will make them independent readers of Arabic who are able to read and understand complete texts with the assistance of these tools. Readings from different fields including the classical Islamic sciences and modern Arabic literature will be covered so that students have an understanding of how Arabic is used in different contexts. This will aid students to further their studies in their particular area of interest.
