This subject introduces foundational knowledge to prepare students to use creative, scientific problem-solving approaches for the nursing care of people with health challenges related to the integumentary, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine and exocrine systems. Students will also consider the links between the pathophysiology of illness and assessment findings; and explore how nursing care sustains the patient, enhances patient outcomes, and assures patient safety.
