Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to understand and use appropriate technologies to apply knowledge of communication and communication processes for workplace and learning environments;
  • be able to identify the needs of people and describe appropriate interactions and rapport building in diverse situations;
  • be able to describe actions of cultural awareness in interaction and communication with others;
  • be able to identify relevant law, policy, procedure and ethical considerations in the practice of the chosen discipline
  • be able to identify relevant Work Health and Safety policies, procedures and legislative requirements in the practice of the chosen discipline;
  • be able to recognise and describe personal resilience strategies in the practice of the chosen discipline;
  • be able to describe the principles of safe driving; and
  • be able to recognise leadership and teamwork principles and describe their impact on community and organisations.
