Introduction to Geospatial Science engages students with the geospatial discipline, while providing fundamental knowledge and skills required to understand and develop basic geospatial science applications. The subject uses real-life applications and a problem-based approach to introduce and explain geospatial concepts. On completion, students will be able to identify geospatial science applications relevant to their course of study and future profession, and describe fundamental concepts and methods currently used for geospatial data acquisition, processing and visualisation.
