Essay Writing 3 - Putting it into Practice is an extension subject that aims to provide students with opportunities to practice the key skills required to write essays successfully at university. The subject content applies learning about essay writing to the production of an essay. Students are able to choose a topic and practice writing an essay. They are provided with the opportunity to gain feedback and learn from that feedback to develop their essay writing skills. This subject is designed as part of a sequence of subjects focused on essay writing. It is recommended that students have completed SSS077 - Essay Writing 1: Style and SSS078 - Essay Writing 2: Structure prior to enrolling in this subject. This is the third stage of the sequence, which is focused on student-directed learning and the application of skills. Students attending the weekend workshop for SSS031 - Academic Writing Skills will also find that workshop provides appropriate background for this subject.
