This subject allows theatre-makers to develop their skills in integrated performance and production roles in traditional theatre settings. They plan and undertake specific roles within performances devised by multiple cohorts of students. Strategies for researching, developing and reflecting upon theme-specific performance and production initiatives are examined.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to participate in the production of multiple theatre performances for public audiences;
  • be able to reflect upon collaborative creative processes;
  • be able to facilitate group discussions and activities with special reference to story structure and character improvisation and task-based devising;
  • be able to evaluate, analyse and facilitate theatre-making processes and theory; and
  • be able to deploy digital technology within professional theatre-making;

  • The role of technology in theatre
