VFX107 Digital Compositing (8)

Compositing is a production process in which different media elements are combined to create a finished shot. Common applications are visual effects, integration for multipass animation render workflows, and creation of motion graphics. In this subject, students are introduced to foundations of compositing software use for visual effects, multipass integration, and motion graphics. Students will apply theory to their practical work, using research and writing skills to communicate ideas and assist in resolving composite projects. Students will work with industry-standard software to learn practical compositing skills. Time and project management skills will be introduced to facilitate efficient and effective compositing workflow.
