CSU Admission Policy

To be eligible for admission to this course applicants must meet the minimum entry criteria listed below:

A completed Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) with an ATAR of at least 75 (including adjustment factors). Other life experiences are also valued. Mature aged students with construction trades are encouraged to apply

OR
Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a credit Grad Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies

OR
A completed relevant AQF Diploma or higher level qualification

OR
A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian university of an accredited provider demonstrating a credit Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

OR
Completion of Diploma of General Studies from Charles Sturt Pathway Course and Completion of Maths Skills 3 - Advanced B from Charles Sturt Study Link.

English Language Proficiency
International students or applicants with international qualifications must provide IELTS results (academic module) with a minimum overall score of 6 and a minimum score of 6 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking), or equivalent test.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 256 points.

Students are strongly encouraged to complete the Study Link subject Maths Skills 3  Advanced B (SSS075) prior to commencing their first study session.

Professional Accreditation

Engineers Australia is the accrediting body. Provisional accreditation is being sought in 2022, the first year in which the course is offered.  Full accreditation requires five graduates from the course and as such cannot take place until after the first cohort have completed their studies.

Post conferral of award practice registration or additional study requirements of graduates: To be recognised as a Registered Professional Engineer students must undergo a registration process approximately 5 years after graduation.
