In this subject students are introduced to the primary elements of performance and presentation practice with an emphasis on voice and movement. Through practical workshop activities, performance, production and critical reflection, students develop foundational skills and investigate the relationship between movement and voice to successful practice as a performer, creator and presenter.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

  • Non-verbal communication
  • Theories of creative performance processes
  • Integration of movement and voice practices (physio-vocality)
  • Physio-vocal approaches to text and character
  • Devising performance through movement
