CLS405 Essentials of Paramedicine: Trauma, Environmental and Toxicology (8)

This subject allows students to integrate the principles of anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology with assessment findings and patient histories to formulate a differential diagnosis and then implement a treatment plan for the patient with trauma, environmental, or toxicological emergency. This subject will investigate disease processes in all age ranges including paediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Students will learn to identify and provisionally diagnose complaints for patients and then apply a sound treatment plan to treat their presenting condition.
