Students will examine the technical, social and communicative dimensions of managing a project in their specialisation area.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to design, develop and execute a complex project;
  • be able to plan a project in response to a brief from a client, commissioner or audience;
  • be able to work independently and as effective collaborative practitioners;
  • be able to reflect on and justify their disciplinary approach including cultural diversity within the project; and
  • be able to critique both their own work and that of their peers.

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:
  • Researching and managing complex projects from planning to evaluation
  • Professional behaviours, project management and critical reflection on roles in groups
  • Producing a project to specific briefs and demands
  • Principles of reflective practice and life-long learning
  • Cultural diversity in global communication and creative industries
