Quality training and assessment requires practitioners to have a thorough understanding of the Australian Vocational Education system. This subject critically examines the theoretical, regulatory, and practical factors that influence training. The training system is examined in terms of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation cycle. The subject then presents a model of scholarship that allows a teacher-practitioner, to identify, investigate and propose opportunities for improvement in their teaching practice. This subject assumes background knowledge of content covered in the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and experience working within the context of Australian Qualifications Framework Training Packages.
