ENG482 Performance Planning & Review - Bachelor of Engineering (4)

In this subject students are supported in their final year of studies as they progress towards professional engineering practice. They will evaluate their competencies gained throughout the course, identifying strengths and areas for improvement in the context of best practice in areas including leadership and engineering practice in Indigenous communities. They will reflect on their professional engineering identity developed throughout the course, their readiness for graduate employment and the process to obtain this. Students will be supported to develop plans to independently manage their goals and workload throughout the remainder of their studies. They will look towards their professional practice and their responsibilities for lifelong learning and continued professional development.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

  • reflect on the ethical considerations of civil engineering practice in the context of Indigenous and other cultures in Australia and internationally and critique current industry practice; and
  • evaluate their own performance as reflective practitioners and identify strengths and areas for improvement.
