This subject contains a 20 days Compulsory Workplace Learning component.
In this professional experience students will be working with children aged between birth and two years. They will be required to develop caring attachments with the babies, and professional relationships with parents and other educators. Additionally they are required to observe babies, plan and evaluate play-based learning experiences based on their theoretical studies and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National early childhood curriculum, and reflect on their developing teaching skills. This professional experience aims to provide the teacher education student with the skills to become the pedagogical leader of the early childhood education and care setting.
