In this subject, students will learn how to plan for and differentiate teaching and learning experiences for children in early childhood and school settings. Students will demonstrate broad knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements and teaching strategies that support participation and learning of students with disabilities. Students will learn how to create an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and will develop appropriate goals. Students will learn how to create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments. Students will identify strategies to support inclusive student participation and engagement in classroom activities. Students will develop differentiated outcomes and lessons that incorporate evidence-based practices from the field. Students will be able to identify a range of community resources that can be accessed to support a child and their family.
