This subject focuses on the critical evaluation and provision of appropriate digital and hardcopy resources to effectively resource the curriculum and support learning and teaching within the school. The role of school library collections in the information environment is particularly addressed. Assessment of needs, selection, acquisition, de-selection, collection evaluation and collection policy formulation are examined in the context of the school. Issues such as budgeting, censorship, cooperative resource provision and learning management systems are explored.
