Faced with complex social organisational environments, how can we explain, predict, and influence the behaviours of employees, groups/teams which are occurring within organisations? This subject addresses a range of practical organisational challenges important to organisational leaders by using the lens of an organisational behaviour and empirical, research-based approach. Drawing on management, psychological and sociological literature, the subject explores dynamic human behaviour that is influenced by individuals, groups, as well as processes, culture and structure of organisations. You will develop awareness of the diverse facets of human behaviour and gain an insight into contingency based factors that affect organisational effectiveness and the quality of work life.
