This subject contains a 20 days Compulsory Workplace Learning component.
In this final work integrated learning subject, students will come together, irrespective of their choice of major, to work collaboratively on real-world problems that have been identified by external industry and community organisations. The students will bring their collective interdisciplinary knowledge to bear on a particular problem in an effort to offer possible solutions or different perspectives on the problem. The students will then present their findings at an end-of-session symposium at which representatives from the industry and community organisations will be available to offer real-time feedback. It is a 'win-win' whereby the external industry and community organisations make use of free 'consultants' working on their problems and the students get to work on real-world problems.
