MPI114 Online Interactivity (8)

This subject introduces students to the fundamental principles of digital and online interactivity. The use of interactivity is addressed through principles of gamification, user-interface design (UI), user-experience design (UX) and human centred design (HCD). Students gain a working knowledge of screen based interactivity including fundamental concepts of web standards, media formats for online presentation, web applications and the development of online interactive storytelling using pre-built content management systems. Students explore a range of creative briefs and conceptual problems with accompanying case studies to explore the changing relationship between online and digital media forms and the telling of stories.
