This subject explores the characteristics, complexities and challenges of Advanced Practice to prepare medical radiation science practitioners to meet future possibilities for Advanced Practice, whilst reflecting on the contemporary issues in health. The core function of an Advanced Practitioner is to engage in expert clinical practice to deliver innovative high quality, person-centred care. In this subject, students will develop an in depth understanding of Advanced Practice across current applications in healthcare and be able to critically evaluate and explore opportunities within their own clinical setting including viability and sustainability.
