MRS529 Evidence-Based Practice in Clinical Leadership (16)

This subject explores the advanced principles and philosophy underpinning evidence-based practice (EBP) and the role EBP plays in provisioning clinical leadership. In that context, this subject develops insights and capability in the application of EBP in shaping thinking, education and action that drives leadership within the clinical domain. This subject focuses on the development of capability for identifying clinical uncertainty, acquiring relevant evidence, appraising evidence in the context of the problem, application and integration of information in decision making, and critically evaluating and reflecting on the learning. To that end, the subject includes high-level problem solving, critical thinking and appraisal, clinical judgement and decision making, reflection and reflective practice, and synthesis of new knowledge in complex environments.
