This subject covers advanced physical principles and imaging techniques including instrumentation in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). It briefly reviews the foundational physics of MRI and extensively considers the physics of advanced principles and techniques. The following subject topics will be covered: perfusion, fMRI, non-proton imaging, MR angiography, MR spectroscopy, diffusion, 3D sequences, MR contrast, fat suppression techniques and K-space sampling as well as coil design, MRI safety and MRI quality assurance.
