This subject contains a 160 hour Compulsory Workplace Learning component.
This workplace learning experience establishes the core concepts and principles related to maintaining a caring environment. These include research and evidence-based practice, along with the legal and caring aspects of advocacy for the person, family and community. Workplace learning experiences incorporate the centrality of research and evidence in informing practice, together with the place of expert opinion, patient/family preferences, and the ways in which the registered nurse can act as an advocate in clinical settings.
